I have experienced so deeply the Father’s love for me in this call to be a teacher. Playing a role in the formation of young hearts and minds continuously forms me into the person I am created to be.

In a society that is polarized and divided, it is wonderful to witness our students engaging each other with respect and understanding. 

Mathematics is essential to a well-formed person. Plato recognized it when he wrote above his Academy ‘Let no one ignorant of geometry enter here,’ and all of education through now has recognized this fact. I intend to show students how mathematics fits into a well-formed person’s life and the wonder accompanying the study of God’s well-ordered Creation.

A successful Spanish student is one who knows not just colors, objects, and people but also how to pray, sing songs, and speak basic sentences in Spanish.

I think Math and Science are fascinating, and I hope to foster this fascination in the students I teach.

It is my deep desire to convey to students the rich beauty of a life in relationship with Christ.

Truth is convincing, goodness is eloquent, and beauty is compelling; I have the joy of presenting them as we find them in Jesus Christ and handed on by the Catholic Church.
 

Being a mother and a nurse go hand-in-hand.  I love providing a clinic where children can receive a little TLC!

I teach Latin because I find great peace and beauty in structures, systems, and patterns.

Intellectual growth happens best when students are allowed to explore God's world through the lenses of the liberal arts, sciences, and Catholic teaching.

I’ve always loved helping others discover new ideas and truths through education. What I love most about the sciences is their ability to help us discover truths about the universe that God created.

My hope is to be able to inspire students in the pursuit of truth, the fullness of which lies in Christ Himself.

It is my hope to identify student struggles in reading and writing and to encourage them to strive to fulfill their academic potential.  

My deep desire is to inspire in my students a love of reading and learning.  Within the pages of great books and fairy tales, we find friendship, truth, beauty, goodness, and hope.

Most importantly, reading allows children to discover and love God more intimately through the Living Word, who desires so much to be known.

When a student is uncertain about life, school, or their future, I always tell them that God has a plan and it is in His time.  

My goal as a History teacher at Holy Spirit Prep is to guide students as they develop their reading, writing and critical thinking skills, broaden their appreciation of the art, culture, philosophy, and literature that has formed our modern world, and recognize God's Providence at work through the course of History so that students confidently embrace their role in the world bolstered by the rich tradition of our Faith.

My goal for each of my students is that they understand their value as daughters and sons of God and that we grow in virtue and holiness together throughout this year!

Academics enrich the mind, athletics strengthen the body, but the arts nourish the soul.  When we die our soul is all we will take with us to heaven.  Therefore the arts are eternal.

The happiest part of being a teacher is knowing that, in some small way, I have inspired another person to be a better reader, mathematician, writer, and friend.

Once my students leave my class, I hope they have a greater appreciation for the performing arts, and they will continue to play well in to their adult lives. 

The more you read, the better your writing will be. But writing starts with reading. Reading is transformative. Reading can save your life. Read, read, read!

Teaching preschool is a blessing. I love integrating play into learning and tapping into their natural curiosity when teaching new concepts.

It is an honor for me to guide these little ones as they begin their journey at Holy Spirit Prep. They are learning, growing, and becoming who God has intended them to be and, as St. Catherine of Siena said, they will “set the world on fire.”

I am passionate about Catholic education.  I thoroughly enjoy helping families realize the value and importance of having children educated in a Catholic school.  As a Catholic school, we provide an excellent education, immerse students in our faith, and serve as a community.

To be able to know and love these students as beloved sons and daughters of God is truly a gift.  I am grateful to be able to share the beauty and truth of Catholicism and how it relates to the natural world.

I love this school because I can practice, teach and nurture my faith and am surrounded by a community of colleagues, friends, and families who do the same.

Through music, our students will learn the importance of patience, diligence, dedication, having faith in others, and what it means to come together as a team to accomplish a common goal.

Learning is a two-way street, occupied by both students and teachers. As a teacher, I try to consider where the kids are coming from and what they’re bringing to the class, and in doing so, I try to meet them in the middle. I try to engage them on their level, encouraging them to explore and empowering them to take risks. When this happens, there is a sense of wonder and appreciation that is visible on a student’s face. And that’s what teaching and learning are all about: Meeting in the middle so everyone benefits.

This quote reminds me of the inherent value of every human being and their individuality and deepens my fervor to help form not only intelligent students, but confident and kind ones who recognize those truths as well.  

Education is an opportunity to show students how much God loves them by guiding to learn about His beautiful creation.

Every single one of these students is called to a beautiful life of fulfillment and purpose. The variety in which their different paths manifest is an incredible thing to witness.

My belief in God and the hope of heaven inspire me to teach both religion – the study of our faith – and Latin, the universal language of the Church.  

Sport and competition can bring the best and the worst out of people. Understanding how to respect and treat each other in a competitive environment is a wonderful thing to achieve. 

Aristotle is known to have said: "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” The opportunity to be of service to the many families at Holy Spirit Prep and to participate in forming both the mind and heart is a blessing that brings joy and fulfillment. My hope is that the students will come to love learning and will begin to discover the unrepeatable gift that lies within themselves, a gift which will in time be given to the world in so many unique ways.

Watching all of the students from Preschool through 12th grade grow physically, mentally, morally and spiritually through athletics at Holy Spirit Prep inspires me daily.

It’s wonderful to see a child I helped learn how to read in Kindergarten reach their full potential and read the Epistle at an all-school or Lower School Mass.

The beautiful thing about studying great literature is that you will encounter many complex and intricate characters. It is in them that you will also meet yourself--your strengths and your weaknesses, your joys and your sorrows.

In reading stories, we realize that we also are a part of a profound story and are necessary characters in it.
