The visual arts program at the Preschool provides the students with a well-rounded art education. It introduces prominent artists in history, a wide variety of art materials including clay, mosaics, and multiple types of paint, and builds on fundamental fine-motor skills, all with a Christ-centered nucleus. The curriculum is rooted in the National Visual Art Standards to encourage social skills through group work and cognitive development through creative thinking and expression. At the end of the year, the students have an art exhibit of their work.
The music program at Holy Spirit Prep Preschool introduces our students to the many facets of music, including traditional, classical, folk, and seasonal. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities such as singing, dancing, listening, and playing rhythm instruments. Our program introduces prominent composers in history and emphasizes group interaction, cooperation, and self-expression. During the month of April, family members are encouraged to come and play their instrument as part of our "Look Who's Playing an Instrument" program.
