Monsignor Edward J. Dillon is President and Rector of Holy Spirit Prep. Monsignor Dillon was one of the founders of the School, serving as the Chair of the Board of the School from its inception to late 2012. Monsignor also has served as the pastor of one of the most dynamic and vibrant parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Holy Spirit parish, since his appointment in 1987, becoming its full-time pastor in 1997. Prior to becoming the full-time pastor of Holy Spirit in 1997, Monsignor Dillon served as Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Atlanta (1988-1997), and as Administrator of the Archdiocese following the death of Archbishop Lyke until the appointment of Archbishop Donoghue.  Before fulfilling these roles, he served for nearly two decades in various offices within the Archdiocese. Monsignor Dillon began his service as a priest when he was ordained in 1967 for service in the Archdiocese. His first assignment was as a Parochial Vicar at St. Anthony’s parish located in southwest Atlanta.

In addition to his role at Holy Spirit Prep and in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, Monsignor Dillon has been a member of the Canon Law Society of America since 1968. The Society is active in the promotion of canonical and pastoral approaches to significant issues within the Roman Catholic Church and has worked for the revitalization of church law in the United States. Monsignor has served in various capacities within the Society, including president of the 2,500 member organization (1975-1976). Sharing his passion for the subject of canon law, Monsignor Dillon was instructor in canon law in both the summer school at Catholic University (1978-1988) and in the winter school program at the University of San Diego, California (1972-1979). Nationally recognized for his expertise in canon law, Monsignor Dillon was a consultor for the Canonical Affairs Committee of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (1974–1977).

A published author, Monsignor’s writings include his academic degree dissertations and a book on jurisprudence edited for the Canon Law Society of America. Monsignor Dillon’s articles on procedural law, marriage jurisprudence, and Church administration have appeared in The Jurist, the Proceedings of the Canon Law Society of America, and the proceedings of the National Conference of Diocesan Attorneys.

Monsignor Dillon attended graduate school at the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., where he earned three degrees in canon law, including a doctorate. He studied for the priesthood at St. Patrick’s College in Carlow, Ireland.

Monsignor Dillon is an active member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, of the Military and Hospitaller Order of St. Lazarus of Jerusalem, and of the Sovereign Order of Malta. He was born in Carlow, Ireland, where he was ordained a priest in 1967.

Father Paul Burke, J.C.L. is the Chair of the Faculty of Theology at Holy Spirit College and chaplain for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cancer Home in Atlanta.

In 2009, he was awarded a Juris Canonici Licentia (J.C.L.) degree from The Catholic University of America. His Canon Law studies, in particular, enable Father Paul to bring a wealth of knowledge about Catholic education to Holy Spirit Prep. His JCL thesis was focused on teachers and curriculum in Catholic schools, while the doctoral dissertation on which he is currently working is focused on the Catholic school as a community of faith.

Father Paul brings many gifts to our school community. Through his connection as chaplain of the Cancer Home, Holy Spirit Prep students have opportunities of providing provide support through student service cohorts. In addition, over the past several years he has also been instrumental in furthering Catholic-Greek Orthodox relations as one of the coordinators of a series of special Ecumenical Gatherings for the Archdiocese.

Father Paul was ordained in 1996 and has served the Archdiocese of Atlanta through several parochial vicar and chaplain assignments, including assignments at Our Lady of Mercy High School and Kennesaw State University.

Born in Galway, Ireland, Father Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Geography and Sociology. He then attended Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary, earning a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Moral Theology. He also attended the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family and Kennesaw University. His special areas of interest include Catholic Education, the Code of Cannon Law, Bioethics, Catholic-Orthodox Relations, and the philosophical and theological thought of John Paul II.

Joann Jones is a partner in the Atlanta office of BakerHostetler, one of the nation's largest law firms, with seventeen offices and over 1,100 lawyers across the United States. Joann's legal practice focuses on real estate development and finance, particularly in the healthcare industry, serving clients in the acquisition, development, financing, and leasing of facilities for rehabilitative and developmental care, hospitals, medical campuses, medical office buildings, and senior facilities.

Joann has been an active member of the Holy Spirit community for almost three decades. She and her husband, Todd, have been parishioners of Holy Spirit parish since 1994. Each of their three children attended Holy Spirit Prep. Joann has served on the Board of Holy Spirit Prep since 2001, and in late 2012 she assumed the position of Chair of the Board. In earlier years at the School, Joann served as PVA President at the Lower School, chair of the Hospitality Committee, member of the Marketing Committee, and a room parent or team parent to various HSP classrooms and sports teams. 

Joann is active in the broader community, as evidenced by her past roles as troop leader to her daughter's Girl Scout troop and her volunteer work with Chastain Park Athletic Club and its Tidal Waves summer swim program when her children were young.  Her support of the community is also a key part of her legal practice, as manifested in her pro bono work with the Archdiocese of Atlanta, the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, and GAIN (the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network) which aids women who are victims of human trafficking in Atlanta. Joann is also the managing partner of the Atlanta office of BakerHostetler and works with the firm's Women's Initiative, which sponsors and supports women lawyers as they advance in their professional legal careers. Joann is ranked by Chambers USA as one of the leading lawyers for real estate in Georgia, recognized for her handling of sophisticated, healthcare-related real estate finance issues. In addition, Joann has been recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in its Who’s Who in Law edition which profiles Atlanta’s Top 100 among leaders in Law and Accounting, and in its list of Atlanta’s Top Law Firm Managing Partners. Joann was also a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2013.

Joann holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies, summa cum laude, from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia.  Joann and Todd’s three children attended Holy Spirit Prep from Preschool through 12th grade.  Todd (Class of 2012) is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia University Medical School.  He and his wife are medical residents in Boston.  Meredith (Class of 2015) is also a graduate of Harvard College and currently lives in Chagrin Falls, Ohio, with her husband and their two young sons.  Emma (Class of 2017) graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2021 and is living and working in Atlanta.  

Kelly Angelo currently serves as the Accountant for Holy Spirit Catholic Church.  This is somewhat of a second career for Kelly, as she spent the majority of her career with the Coca-Cola Company, most recently as Manager of International Treasury Services, where she was responsible for managing the Company’s international operations cash needs. Kelly held a number of financial and accounting positions with The Coca-Cola Company during her 25 years with the company.  Prior to that, Kelly worked for Electronic Data Systems, Scientific Atlanta, and Medex, Inc.

Kelly and her husband, Mike, have been members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church since 1999. Her daughter, Sabrina, attended HSP from Kindergarten through 12th grade and graduated from Holy Spirit Prep in 2014. Kelly has held many volunteer positions at HSP, including PVA President, Annual Fund Chair, Spring Gala Chair, as well as chairing other school events such as Father-Daughter Dance, Secret Santa and Fall Festival. In addition, Kelly was responsible for co-founding the first HSP Annual Fun Run.

Giving back to the community is very important to Kelly. In addition to her volunteer work at HSP, Kelly volunteers with many other organizations, including Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, and Alpha Omicron Pi National Sorority. Kelly is the lead Wedding Coordinator at HSCC, a Eucharistic Minister, and responsible for the HSCC Scout Mass and Girl Scout Religious Awards. Her commitment to Girl Scouts includes many years as a Sandy Springs Service Unit Director, Gold Award Committee Member and Advisor, and Girl Scout Troop Leader. Kelly is also the Alumnae Collegiate Financial Advisor to her national Sorority, AOII.

Kelly received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In addition, she is a Certified Public Account in the State of Georgia.

Matthew S. Coles is a Partner with Coles Barton, LLP, a law firm he founded in 2009. The firm focuses on commercial and medical malpractice litigation.

Matt has been a member of the Holy Spirit Prep community for many years, participating as a parent, whose three daughters attended HSP, and as a Trustee and legal counsel. For 30 years he has been an active member of his parish, St. Lawrence in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Matt has practiced law for 34 years. Prior to starting his own firm, he was a partner in the litigation department of Smith Gambrell & Russell LLP.

He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University where he was a National Merit scholar all four years. He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Georgia where he was a member of the Moot Court Team and was elected to the Order of Barristers.

David Cusimano is a Managing Director at Accel-KKR, a private equity firm dedicated exclusively to pursuing investments in mid-market technology companies. Prior to joining Accel-KKR, David was an associate with GenSpring Family Office, responsible for equity investments to small and middle market companies in a wide variety of industries. Before that, David was an analyst with Wachovia Securities, where he provided advisory services for corporate clients in the technology and technology-enabled services sectors.

David and his wife, Stephanie, have three children who attend Holy Spirit Prep: Dominick (Class of 2034), Gabriella (Class of 2030), and Isabella (Class of 2027). They are active parishioners at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. David has coached our Lower School soccer and basketball teams, served as sponsorship chair for the Annual Gala, as the Annual Fund co-chair alongside Stephanie, and is the chair of the Board’s Finance Committee.

David earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Alabama.

David Hanna is a founder of Holy Spirit Prep and has remained involved in the school since its beginning, as both a Board Member and parent. 

David is the co-founder and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Atlanticus Holdings Corporation. After its founding in 1996, Atlanticus grew into one of the largest providers of credit products to the underserved population in the United States. David is also a Principal in Hanna Capital, LLC. Through Hanna Capital and its predecessors or affiliates, David has invested in a variety of real estate and business opportunities in the US and internationally. These have included companies in cloud computing, software development, medical insurance, nutricuticals, medical equipment manufacturing, multi-family apartment acquisition and management, industrial development, as well as resort hotel acquisition and management.

In addition to his successful business career, David has involved himself in various charitable activities. He has served on the boards of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, Catholic Charities of Atlanta, the Lumen Institute, and Piedmont Healthcare. David is currently Chairman of the Board of Piedmont Healthcare.

David received a B.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Georgia. His wife of  36 years, Kim, and he have three children, all of whom attended Holy Spirit Prep: John (Class of 2008), James (Class of 2010), and Anna Marie (Class of 2013). David and Kim are active members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church where they have been parishioners since 1995.

Frank J. Hanna is a founder of Holy Spirit Prep, and a Board Member since its inception in 1996. 

Frank is the CEO of Hanna Capital, LLC, and has invested in emerging technologies for the last 32 years.  Prior to going into the investment business, he was a corporate attorney.  He is featured in the PBS documentary, The Call of the Entrepreneur.

He has been a frequent speaker to various groups (including Catholic leaders at the Vatican) and mass media regarding macroeconomics, education, and philanthropy. He is the author of two best-selling books: What Your Money Means, and A Graduate’s Guide to Life.

Frank currently serves on and advises the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations, both within the Catholic Church and in the secular world.

He has been deeply involved in education for the last 39 years, and has been instrumental in the foundation of thirteen new educational institutions, from preschool through post-secondary.  Frank also served as Chair of a Presidential Commission on Education Excellence.

Mr. Hanna is the founder of the Solidarity Association. Of most significance, the Solidarity Association serves as Trustee of the Mater Verbi/Hanna Papyrus Trust, which safeguards in the Vatican Apostolic Library the oldest copy of the Gospel of Luke (including the oldest copy of the Lord’s Prayer) in the world.

In recognition of his charitable efforts, Mr. Hanna has received the William B. Simon Prize for Philanthropic Leadership, and the David R. Jones Award for Philanthropic Leadership. He is also a Knight of Malta, of the Holy Sepulchre, and was named a Knight of the Grand Cross of the Order of St Gregory by Pope Benedict XVI.

On a more personal note, Frank has coached Little League soccer and basketball. He received his BBA and JD degrees from the University of Georgia. Frank and his wife, Sally, have one daughter, Elizabeth, who attended Holy Spirit Prep for twelve years and graduated in 2008.

Neil Johnson is the President and CEO of Canonbury Homes, Inc., a custom home builder in North Atlanta. Neil founded the business in 2005, and since that time, Canonbury Homes, Inc. has built numerous custom homes in the Buckhead, Brookhaven, and Sandy Springs communities. Neil built the 2008 Christmas Decorator Show House and his work has been featured in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle, Modern Home Builders, and Buckhaven Lifestyle. 

Prior to founding Canonbury Homes, Inc., Neil worked for United Parcel Service for 16 years, holding various management positions. After leaving UPS, Neil moved to England with his family to support his wife’s career. While in England, he had the opportunity to start in the home building and renovation business.

Outside of Canonbury Homes, Neil is involved in a variety of charitable organizations.  He is active in the Knights of Columbus and served as Grand Knight for Council 6517 in 2014 and 2015. Neil also is co-chair for the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums Georgia Chapter, a member of Regnum Christi, and a Knight in the Order of Malta.

Neil and his wife Carolyn have been married for 39 years and have been active members in the Holy Spirit Prep community for over 17 years.  Both of their children attended HSP, and their daughter Catie graduated in the Class of 2015.

Neil grew up in Atlanta, graduated from Dunwoody High School, received an Associate’s degree from Young Harris College, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing degree from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

Michael Jones is Senior Vice-President and Global Innovation Business Partner with The Nielsen Company where he and his teams provide C-level consultancy, strategic planning and SaaS solutions to multi-national Fast Moving Consumer Goods, retail, financial services, media, technology, hospitality, restaurants, life-sciences, apparel and telecommunications clients. Prior to Nielsen, Mike served in a number of global marketing, innovation and sales roles including: SVP and General Manager – Americas for Affinnova, Inc., SVP Strategic Marketing and Asst. GM for Tarkett Sports, and Vice-President, Integrated Marketing for Coca-Cola’s North America Division.

Mike, his wife, Cindy, and children are parishioners at The Basilica of The Sacred Heart of Jesus in downtown Atlanta where he has actively served as Pastoral Council Chair, Capital Campaign Co-Chair, Strategic Planning Chair, and currently coordinates Communications Strategies and co-leads the training and coordination of Altar Servers. He and Cindy were the Co-Presidents of The Parent Volunteer Association at HSP in 2012 where they also Co-Chaired the Annual Fund Campaign in 2011. Mike and Cindy's children attended Holy Spirit Preparatory School from kindergarten through 12th grade: Maddalena (Class of 2021) and Daniel (Class of 2022). 

Mike is also currently the leader of the Atlanta Catholic Business Breakfast. Begun in 2004, the Catholic Business Breakfast gathers an Atlanta network of 1200+ business leaders striving to better integrate their Catholic faith into their everyday lives with family, friends, and work. Since 2011, Mike has served as a mentor for the Catholic Charities Leadership Class, which provides an opportunity for senior Catholic business leaders to serve as mentors to high potential young Catholics in Atlanta who wish to develop their servant leadership skills within their organization.

In addition to his work within the Atlanta Catholic Community, Mike’s philanthropic support extends to his role as a member of the Honorary Board of The Atlanta Ballet, where he previously served as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees and leader of the marketing committee.

Mike holds an Executive Leadership Certification from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia.
